Tales of travel and exile from the one-time hobo and musical iconoclast Harry Partch with live performances on his unique instruments of San Francisco, Barstow: Eight Hitchhiker Inscriptions, Li Po Lyrics and featuring Partch's filmed performance of US Highball, a musical account of riding the rails during the Depression (1958 - color, 24'). The program concludes with the 1952 triptych Plectra and Percussion Dances.
